TERMS OF USE

Using INTERA's website and resources.

These terms explain how INTERA's website, educational resources, services, and digital content may be used.

About These Terms

This website is operated by INTERA, a community initiative stewarded by the Centre for Trauma-Informed Fitness (CFTIF) in Edmonton, Alberta.

By using this website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable laws. If you do not agree with these terms, you may choose not to use the website.

Educational Information

INTERA provides educational information about gender-affirming gear, bodies, movement, wellbeing, community resources, and related topics.

This information is intended for general education and community learning. It is not a substitute for individualized medical, psychological, legal, or other regulated professional advice.

People's bodies, needs, circumstances, and experiences vary. Information provided through INTERA should be considered alongside your own needs, comfort, judgment, and, where appropriate, advice from a qualified professional.

Gender-Affirming Gear

INTERA provides information about gender-affirming gear including compression, enhancement, packing, positioning, fit, sizing, comfort, and everyday use.

Our resources are designed to support informed decision-making rather than prescribe a particular product, practice, identity, or outcome.

Individual experiences with gender-affirming gear vary. You are responsible for deciding whether a particular product or practice is appropriate for you and for following relevant product instructions and safety information.

Navigation, Consultation, and Support

INTERA may provide consultations, navigation, peer support, education, referrals, and assistance connecting with community resources.

The scope of each service is described on the relevant INTERA service page. Unless explicitly identified otherwise, these services do not constitute medical care, psychotherapy, legal advice, diagnosis, or another regulated professional service.

Navigation and resource information may change over time. While we aim to provide accurate and useful information, we cannot guarantee the availability, eligibility requirements, wait times, policies, quality, or actions of external organizations or service providers.

Purchases and Gear Access

Some gender-affirming gear may be available through retail purchase, subsidized access, community donation programs, lending programs, or other INTERA initiatives.

Availability, eligibility, inventory, sizing, pricing, pick-up arrangements, and program requirements may vary.

Additional information or conditions provided during a purchase, appointment, application, fitting, loan, or program registration also apply to that interaction.

Accuracy and Changes

We work to keep INTERA's information accurate, useful, and current. However, gender-affirming products, community resources, services, policies, research, and external programs can change.

We cannot guarantee that every piece of information on the website will always be complete, current, or free from error.

INTERA may update, correct, remove, or add website content as our resources, programs, knowledge, and capacity evolve.

External Links and Services

INTERA may link to websites, resources, organizations, products, or services operated by other people or organizations.

These links are provided for convenience and education. Unless specifically stated, linking to an external resource does not mean INTERA controls, guarantees, or endorses everything provided by that organization or website.

External websites and services have their own terms, policies, privacy practices, and accessibility standards.

Respectful Use

You may use the INTERA website for lawful personal, educational, and informational purposes.

You may not intentionally interfere with the operation or security of the website, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or information, use the website for unlawful purposes, or use INTERA's services to harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, INTERA and the Centre for Trauma-Informed Fitness are not responsible for losses or harm resulting solely from reliance on general website information, the actions or services of third parties, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
