MORE WAYS TO ACCESS GEAR

Access Is More Than Retail

Buying gear through the ACCESS Store is one option. It isn't the only one.

INTERA ACCESS helps people in Edmonton and area explore different pathways to gender-affirming gear based on what they need and what works for their circumstances.

RETAIL ACCESS

Shop the ACCESS Store

Purchase gender-affirming gear at retail price for local pick-up in Edmonton. Purchases through the store also help support INTERA's broader community access work.

COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION

Strengthening Gender Gear Access, Together

The INTERA Community Store was created as one part of a larger effort to improve direct access to gender-affirming gear in Edmonton.

We know this work did not begin with us, and we do not believe it should happen in isolation. Edmonton already has community organizations, local retailers, markets, and consignment pathways working to make gender-affirming gear easier to find and access.

INTERA is intended to supplement that work by adding another pathway to the existing community ecosystem. Our goal is to strengthen access through collaboration, shared knowledge, and multiple points of entry rather than competition.

Our goal is not to replace existing pathways. It is to add another one.

THE ROLE OF THE INTERA STORE

A Direct Access Pathway Within the INTERA Project

Developing a direct pathway for gender-affirming gear access is part of the work INTERA is undertaking through the City of Edmonton's Beyond Belonging Grant.

The Community Store provides an additional retail pathway within that broader access model. Proceeds from the store are redirected back into INTERA to support the continued development of gender-affirming gear access, education, navigation, and community resources.

More pathways. More collaboration. Better access for community.
