BODY ENHANCEMENT 101

What Is Body Enhancement?

Body enhancement is the practice of adding shape, volume, or contour to different areas of the body to create a desired silhouette.

It can be achieved using removable padding, padded garments, shapewear, or other products designed to add fullness or change visible proportions beneath clothing.

Common areas of enhancement include the hips, buttocks, and thighs, but there is no single way body enhancement needs to look.

Different products create different amounts of volume, projection, and shaping. The right option depends on your body, the silhouette you want to create, the clothing you plan to wear, and what feels comfortable in everyday life.

Body enhancement is about creating the shape you want.

There is no correct amount of curve, volume, or proportion. Some people want a subtle change, while others prefer a more noticeable shift in silhouette.

YOUR GUIDE TO BODY ENHANCEMENT

Understanding Your Options

Body enhancement products use different materials and systems to add shape, volume, or contour. Understanding how they differ can help you decide what might work best for your body, your clothing, and your everyday life.

These categories can overlap. Different materials and systems can create very different amounts of volume, projection, movement, and shaping. There is no single right way to enhance your silhouette.

CHOOSING YOUR GEAR

Choosing Your Body Enhancement

Choosing body enhancement isn't about finding the "best" pad or garment. It's about figuring out what you want your gear to do, how you want it to feel, and what works with your body and your everyday life.

START WITH

Your Goals

Think about where you want to add shape and what kind of change you're looking for. You might want a subtle shift in proportion, more visible curves, added projection, or simply a different silhouette beneath certain clothing.

THINK ABOUT

Placement & Proportions

Where padding sits can matter just as much as its size. Moving a pad slightly higher, lower, forward, or outward can change the overall shape it creates. Experimenting with placement can help you find a silhouette that feels right to you.

CONSIDER

Clothing & Everyday Use

Think about what you'll be wearing and what you'll be doing while using your gear. Different pads and garments may sit differently under fitted or loose clothing, and movement, sitting, exercise, and other everyday activities can affect what works well.

DON'T FORGET

Comfort & Practicality

Weight, warmth, texture, pressure, and how securely your gear stays in place can all affect your experience. It can also be helpful to consider how easy a system is to put on, remove, reposition, or adjust throughout the day.

More enhancement isn't automatically better.

The right amount and placement are the ones that create the silhouette you want while still working for your body, your clothing, and your comfort. Small changes in pad position, shape, or volume can create very different results.

If you're using a padded garment or another system that comes in clothing sizes, use the sizing guide provided by that manufacturer rather than assuming you'll wear the same size across different products.
