INTERA was founded on three simple principles.

Everyone has the right to fully embody who they are.

Our identities belong to us. Everyone deserves the freedom, information and support to explore and express who they are in ways that feel right for them.

Identity is fluid and dynamic. We are always growing and learning.

Who we are can change and evolve across our lives. Exploration does not require certainty, and changing what feels right does not mean you got it wrong before.

The right support can change how exploration and expression feels.

Something that feels scary, confusing or overwhelming can become exciting, creative and joyful when you have information, options and people who support you without pressure or judgement.

INTERA EXPLORE starts with possibility.

EXPLORE is the part of INTERA where you can learn, wonder, experiment and discover what might work for you. You do not need to arrive with a goal, a label or a final answer.

Gender exploration can start with curiosity.

Learn what's possible. Try things on. Experiment with what feels right. Give yourself space to wonder.

There is no single right way to explore gender.

You don't need to have the answers before you begin. Exploration can be creative, playful and exciting, without pressure to make a final choice.
